Hyderabad: A woman lay on the railway tracks along with her year-old son near the Nature Cure Hospital station on Thursday.

Passengers waiting at the station pulled her away and called the police, who counselled her.

The woman alleged that Raja Rao, a constable working at the SR Nagar police station, who was married and had two children, had trapped her when she had gone there to lodge a complaint about her lost mobile.

He married her in secret at the Sanghi temple and put her up in a flat at Yousufguda. The couple had a son. She learned of his first marriage and questioned him but Raja Rao promised to support her.

However, he began avoiding her a few months ago. When she went to his house, she was driven away, she said. Depressed with this, she attempted suicide, she told the police.
