Warangal: In a shocking incident, a pig was found dragging the body of a female infant on Thursday morning near the Padmakshi temple in Hanamkonda.

The newborn was presumed to be abandoned by its parents as it was found in a plastic bag. “We were shocked to see a pig dragging the body which did not have a head,” said   a local.

The locals drove off the pig which dropped the body, and called the police.

Hanamkonda circle inspector V. Kiran Kumar said the parents of the infant must have disposed of the baby either because it was a girl or because it was an unwanted birth.
