Hyderabad UKG student beaten by school’s ayah
Student had urinated in his pants at school
Hyderabad: A UKG student of Hyderabad Sainik School was allegedly beaten by the school’s ayah nearly three months ago for urinating in his pants. M. Sharath Chandra's parents lodged a complaint with the Madannapet police on Saturday.
Sharath is the only son of Mr M. Phani Deepak, a site engineer at the Telangana Police Housing Corporation. The family lives near Mandi in Saidabad area under the Madannapet Police station limits.
Sharath’s parents alleged that three months ago, when their son had urinated in his pants at school, he was beaten up by an aayah at the school. Fearing that the school authorities would take revenge on the boy, they did not complain.
On Thursday, when Sharath returned from school, he had scars on his body. When his parents asked he admitted that he had a fight with other students in the school.
“ We did not want to complain when the ayah beat him. But on Saturday when my sister-in-law went to the school to find out about Thursday’s incident, she was not allowed in and the ayahs’ behaved rudely with her,” said Mr Deepak.
He lodged a complaint with the police and a general diary entry of the complaint was made. Since the school was closed, police could not talk to the management.
“ We will talk to them on Monday and also check CCTV records at the school. Based on that, we will proceed.” said Madannapet SI K. Venkata Ramana, who is investigating the case.
