Cheating, forgery case filed against three RTC employees

During verification, depot authorities found the certificates suspicious.

Hyderabad: Medchal police on Saturday registered a cheating and forgery case against three employees of Medchal RTC depot, for producing fake certificates to avail sick leaves.

According to police, conductor A. Sampath and drivers C. Anjaneyulu and M. Mallesham availed sick leaves during November and December. They later submitted sick leave certificates which were issued in the name of RTC hospital, Tarnaka.

During verification, depot authorities found the certificates suspicious. “On inquiry they found that the three employees submitted fake certificates with forged signatures,” said Medchal Inspector S. Rajashekar Reddy. Based on a complaint from depot manager C.V.L. Kantha Rao, a cheating and forgery case (420,468 & 471 of IPC) is registered. Police is investigating the case.
