Bank manager held for bribe

Grameena Bank manager was caught red-handed by the CBI.

HyderabadA Grameena Bank manager was caught red-handed by the CBI while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a farmer in Mahbubnagar. Manager M. Saibaba demanded Rs 10,000 from V. Kuruma-iah to sanction a Rs 2-lakh loan. According to sources, Kurumaiah, of Manajipet in Lingala mandal, had approached the bank for a loan in October 2015. He was sanctioned Rs 2 lakh and half the amount was deposited in his account.
 
When he approached the bank for the remaining amount, Saibaba demanded Rs 10,000. Kurumaiah approached the CBI who laid a trap and caught Saibaba when he was accepting one half of the amount.
