World's first triple-SIM phone with 5-inch display launched at Rs 4,700
The Xfire 2 comes along with a 5-inch 2.5D curved glass HD capacitive touch screen.
Mumbai: A Chinese original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Bluboo has announced the launch of the world’s first global triple-SIM smartphone that also supports a 5-inch display.
While there have been other existing triple-SIM compatible smartphones, the Xfire 2 is the first one to function globally and also sport a 5-inch display in chorus.
The device will be available for worldwide purchase from January 2016 at an attractive price of just Rs 4,700 ($70) without any extra shipping cost.
That said, there are many people who use more than one phone just to accumulate all their SIM cards, however, Bluboo’s multi-SIM phone might be a good device for those people.
Chinese online sellers will wholly retail the device, so keep a watch on any future offers that might pop up next month.
The Xfire 2 comes along with a 5-inch 2.5D curved glass HD capacitive touch screen and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor. Details about memory specifications and camera have not yet been revealed.
The company also said that the device supports two nano-SIM cards; the third slot can be used for either storage expansion or inserting a third SIM.
According to rumours, the device is likely to have 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB. Also, it is believed that the device will probably ship along with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
