Brigadier Govind Singh Sisodia served Indian army for more than 35 years.
Mumbai: The Indian cricket board has hired the services of Brigadier (retired) Govind Singh Sisodia for the Australia tour, it is learnt here.
He has been appointed as a security consultant for Mahendra Singh Dhoni's team for the tour of Australia which begins this week.
Team India is scheduled to play two warm up matches before the five ODIs' and three T-20 matches during this short tour.
Interestingly, Sisodia was the ultimate hero when he successfully conducted the commando operation in Mumbai when Ajmal Kasab and few others made the terrorism attacks in two five star hotels (Taj and Tredent) on 26 November 2008.
The former DIG was specially flown with his jawans from Delhi.
Arresting Kasab was Brigadier Sisodia's biggest achievement. He was also involved in questioning the terrorist.
Sisodia has also served against the militants in the Kashmir valley.
He has served Indian army for more than 35 years.
Sisodia's name was likely to have been recommended by the BCCI secretary, who also hails from Himachal Pradesh.
