The shooting of Mahesh Babu’s ongoing film Brahmotsavam commenced a while ago in Ramoji Film City at Hyderabad, and was later shifted to Ooty. Billed as a family entertainer, the movie has Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha and Pranitha playing the female leads. Touted to be a bilingual flick, it will be the star’s first straight film in Tamil. A source now informs that the crew will shoot a crucial scene of the movie in Chennai.

Says the source, “The shooting will take place in the city for few days before Pongal. The team was on the lookout for a place which has the ambience of a factory. Though many places were considered, they felt that Ambattur industrial estate was apt for it. A key sequence in the film, it will feature Mahesh Babu and Sathyaraj.”

Interestingly, Chennai is Mahesh’s birth place, and the actor was here few months ago for the promotion of his film Selvandhan (Srimanthudu in Telugu). The teaser of Brahmotsavam was released on January 1, and the movie is expected to hit the screens on April 29.
