Bengaluru: Biker run over by BMTC bus

The incident happened in front of HAL Museum around 6.30 am.

BENGALURU: Two two-wheeler riders were killed in separate road accidents in Old Airport traffic police station limits on Wednesday. In the first incident a 20-year-old bike rider collided head-on with another one and then came under the wheels of a BMTC bus on Wednesday morning. 
 
The incident happened in front of HAL Museum around 6.30 am. While the deceased has been identified as Bhura Lal, a resident of Marathahalli and a street food vendor, the injured, Sunil Kumar, is a multinational company employee, who fractured his leg. 
 
Police officials said Bhura Lal was not wearing a helmet and entered a one-way road from the wrong side. He collided with Sunil’s bike and both  fell on the road. While Sunil fell onto the left side of the road and fractured his leg, Bhura Lal fell onto the right side and got crushed under a BMTC bus. Passersby rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead. 
 
In the second incident a 25-year-old pillion rider died on the spot while the rider suffered head injuries after their bike hit the side wall on Deverabeesanahalli flyover early Wednesday. The deceased, Sharath Kumar, is a resident of Gottigere. The incident happened around 7 am when he, along with his friend Raj Kumar, was returning home after work. 
 
Dr G  Parameshwar’s Secretary injured in accident
KPCC President Dr G. Parameshwar’s personal secretary B. Devendra Rao has filed a complaint against an astrologer following a car collision. According to the complaint filed in High grounds traffic police station, Devendra has stated that on Crescent Road, close to Gururaja Kalyana Mantapa, while taking a U-turn his car rear ended a parked car and Devendra got injured. He had to be rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. 
 
The parked car belonged to Ravi, an astrologer associated with a private TV channel. Devendra Rao had reportedly fractured his left hand. The astrologer and his driver were questioned by the police and an FIR was registered, after which the car and the driver were released.
