AP: Government will stick to bifurcation act, says Sadananda Gowda
Assurances given on the floor of Parliament are equivalent to the Act, he said.
Kadapa: The Centre will stick to implementing the assurances provided in the AP Reorganisation Act-2014 with regard to bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, Union Minister of Law and Justice D V Sadananda Gowda said on Friday.
The assurances given on the floor of Parliament are also equivalent to the Act and the government will try to execute them based on the need, Gowda told mediapersons here.
Replying to a query, the Minister said that he will look into the 'Dammugudem-Nagarjuna Sagar tail pond' project proposal.
On the steel plant in Kadapa district, he said, "There are some technical issues in establishing the steel plant which have to be resolved by the state government."
After meeting various sections of people in the district since yesterday, "I understood that Kadapa district is more backward district in the most backward Rayalaseema region," he said while assuring to take steps to resolve the problems brought to his notice.
All the issues will be brought to the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, adding that they will take steps to start industries and to create employment opportunities for the youth in the district.
