The cinematographer had to leave the set because his mother passed away.
Ashutosh Gowariker ambitious love story ‘Mohenjo Daro’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde is almost on the verge of completion. The film has been shot in places like Bhuj, Jabalpur and Mumbai and is set to be one of the biggest films we will see in 2016. However, a report has upset the team and crew members because a sensitive matter has been given an inaccurate spin.
According to an earlier report, Ashutosh and his director of photography CK Muraleedharan ( PK, Agent Vinod, 3 Idiots and many more) had an argument over a particular scene due to which the shoot had to be called off. While Murlee wanted to capture the location in a certain way, Ashu disagreed with it.
However, we tried to find out what really happened. Though Ashu is a taskmaster he is the last person to be unreasonable with his team. A source close to the project revealed the real story. “ The shooting was going on in Mumbai and early in the day, Muralee got a call from his family members. He was informed about the sad demise of his mother and he was asked to come back to Kerala to perform the final rites. When Ashu learnt about it, he immediately told him to leave and fulfil his duties as a son. Muralee’s personal team also assured him that they would take care of the set up in his absence. He immediately left the set and flew to Kerala," informed the source.
Ashutosh has also told Muralee to take his own time before resuming work on the film, as he need not worry about the shoot. The film is all set to hit the theatres on August 12 this year.
