Arjun Kapoor's Bihari accent on perfection
The actor is training to pick up the nuances of the Bihari accent for his next film.
For his role in Mohit Suri’s film Half Girlfriend (based on the Chetan Bhagat bestseller of the same name), Arjun Kapoor is working hard on two things: His basketball skills and a Bihari accent.
The actor, who was brought in after Sushant Singh Rajput opted out of the project, will be seen opposite Shraddha Kapoor. His character, Madhav, is shown to be from a small town in Bihar and is a good basketball player.
Surprisingly, Arjun has found the accent tougher to pick up than shooting hoops!
“A trainer had been hired to teach him how to speak with the right Bihari accent. Arjun practises it diligently every day, although it’s taking him some time to get the nuances right. The trainer works with him at his home and it’s quite a long training session,” a source close to the actor reported.
Meanwhile, Arjun is also polishing his skills on the court at a Mumbai club. “ In his teens, Arjun was good at the game so he is just brushing up on his skills.
He knows the game, so it isn’t a stretch for him to portray the right body language. He plays with his friends every day,” our source added. Well, here’s hoping Arjun gets his game on!
