Sunny Deol makes no bones about the fact that he has stopped getting offers from other filmmakers. But that doesn’t mean it’s pack-up for him. The actor talks about many more films in the pipeline and welcoming his son into the fray.

What did you enjoy more—writing and directing or acting in Ghayal Once Again?
While acting, you just get to play a character. But the writing and direction process is much more than acting. I really enjoyed the former.

Why has the film been pushed to a different release date?
Honestly, I don't believe in dates. I pushed the release because the film wasn't ready technically. I have learned a lesson now. I won't start promoting the film until it is technically ready. In a way, the delay was good for us since the film got little more time to register in the audiences’ minds.

What made you hire Hollywood action director Dan Bradley?
I took Dan Bradley to increase the intensity of the action in the film. He has made the film look so good. The action in the film is going to be amazing.

How do you think action scenes in Bollywood have changed since the 90s?
It is much safer to shoot action sequences today. With the help of a few techniques, action scenes have become simpler to shoot.

Soha Ali Khan is the female lead in the film. Why don't we see her promoting it?
There is no specific reason to this. We all have different and busy schedules.

Will we see your father Dharamji and Bobby promoting Ghayal Once Again?
Dad would love to promote my film. He has seen few portions of the film and he liked it. He has even given me few creative tips. He is very positive about it, which makes me happy.

If you had to choose between Balwant Rai and Raj Bansal, who would it be?
Choosing any one would be not fair but Amrish Puriji will always be one of a kind.

Why don’t we see you working more often?
If this can be a spicy answer of your question, then I must say this. I don't get films outside my own camp. [Laughs]

Have you planned to make a sequel of any of your own films?
I feel the kind of work I have done in the past should be recreated today.

How is the preparation to launch your son going?
Except for the fact that I am going to launch him in 2016, I don’t want to say anything at this moment. Karan has grown up in our family and has been watching the work we do.
