Hyundai Grand i10, Xcent facelifts to launch in 2017
The visual enhancements will also extend to the interiors and especially the cabin in both the Grand i10 and the Xcent.
Reports have started pouring in that the Hyundai Grand i10 facelift will get a launch in 2017, since the updated model was spied testing at Sriperumbudur near Chennai. The model has completed three years in the Indian market, since its launch in September 2013.
The test mule was partially camouflaged, with the tailgate and the bonnet concealed, along wit the doors. Only the pillars from the front to the sides were visible, while the freshly designed revised alloy wheels were also visible.
The updates are not only for the Hyundai Grand i10 but also for the Xcent sedan. Both the Grand i10 and the Xcent sedan are likely to find an early 2017 launch. The visual enhancements will also extend to the interiors and especially the cabin in both the Grand i10 and the Xcent.
However, there won’t be any mechanical changes and so the Hyundai Grand i10 facelift will continue to be powered by both the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, petrol motor and the 1.1-litre diesel motor.
When launched, the Hyundai Grand i10 facelift will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Swift, to whom it has been a long standing rival. The Swift had been pipping the Grand i10 in terms of sales for a long time but only recently did the Hyundai model catch up. The Ford Figo and the Fiat Punto Evo will be the other rivals of the Hyundai Grand i10.
