Auto Expo to see 80 launches

India's biggest auto carnival the 13th edition of Auto Expo is all set to get kicked off on Wednesday, witnessing the highest number of launches.

New Delhi: India’s biggest auto carnival — the 13th edition of Auto Expo — is all set to get kicked off on Wednesday, witnessing the highest number of launches.

Leading auto carmakers Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Hyundai, Volkswagen and Honda Cars among others will unveil record 80 new vehicles during one of the world’s biggest auto expos.

Jeep, Italian motorcycle brand Benelli, Indian motorcycles, and two-wheeler brand Polaris will be participating for the first time in the expo.

The week-long biennial automotive, which will complete 30 years this year, will be open to the media and business visitors for the first two days. The expo will be thrown open to the public from February 5-9.

Among the launches lined up at the expo include compact SUV Vitara Brezza, its concept car Ignis, a compact urban concept vehicle, and Baleno RS from Maruti Suzuki, SUV Tucson, high performance sub-brand N and an all-new global luxury brand ‘Genesis’ from  Hyundai.

Tata Motors will showcase over 20 passenger cars, including Zica (name to be changed after the expo) and new sporty compact sedan project named KITE 5.  

Nissan will display world-renowned halo models as well as a refreshed product line-up at the show. Renault plans to unveil new editions of Duster and Kwid.
