Triumph launches Thruxton R In India
The bike made its debut at the 2016 Auto Expo held in February at Greater Noida.
Triumph has launched the third model of its Bonneville bike series christened the Thruxton R at Rs10.9 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The café-racer styled Thruxton R looks stunning with its retro style design featuring modern components. The bike made its debut at the 2016 Auto Expo held in February at Greater Noida.
The new Thruxton R is powered by a new 1200cc parallel-twin engine delivering a peak power and torque output of 96bhp at 6750rpm and 112Nm at 4950rpm respectively. This torque output is 62% higher than the output of its predecessor. The new Thruxton R is offered in two colors viz Diablo Red and Silver Ice.
The bike gets many new exciting features including switchable ABS, switchable traction control, torque assist clutch, ride-by-wire with three different riding modes - rain, road and sport, twin floating Brembo Disc brakes, Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres and so on. The new Thruxton R will be available shortly across all the Triumph dealerships in India.
