A great way to make a supercar better is to give it a million miles of headroom. Lamborghini thinks so too, and the raging bull’s latest drop-top has just roared into the Indian market.

Priced at Rs 3.89 Crore ex-showroom Delhi, the Huracan Spyder LP610-4 is the third variant of the Gallardo’s successor sold in India, after the Huracan LP610-4 Coupe (all-wheel drive) and Huracan LP580-2 Coupe (rear-wheel drive).

Propelling the two-door exotic car is a 5.2-litre V10 engine that produces 610PS of power at 8,250 rpm and 560Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The grunt is enough to rocket the supercar from 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds before it hits a top speed of 324 km/h. Transmission duties are carried out by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and like the coupe, the convertible comes with a drive mode selector which allows the driver to choose between three modes - Strada, Sport and Corsa.

The main differentiator vs the coupe is of course, the fabric roof that can be operated at speeds of up to 50 km/h. Lamborghini claims the Huracan Spyder can drop its roof in 18 seconds. The only other update to the exterior is a couple of fins located behind the seats that have been designed to aid air-flow to the car’s V10 heart.

On the inside, the car still has the fighter plane-like layout to make you feel like a kid again. The Huracan first hit Indian shores in 2014 and the Spyder’s launch comes just a few days after the world celebrated Ferrucio Lamborghini’s 100 th birth anniversary.
