UM introduces fuel-injected Renegade Commando EFI and Sports S EFI
BS-IV Renegade Commando EFI and Renegade Sport S EFI are priced at Rs 1,73,917 and Rs 1,66,280 respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The BS-IV compliant variants of the UM Renegade Commando EFI and Renegade Sport S EFI motorcycles have been launched. They now feature fuel injectors which make the throttle response sharper and also help in cold starts. Both the motorcycles have a 280cc engine which churns out 26.36PS of maximum power at 8,500rpm and 23Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox (power up by 1.2PS over the previous model). The motorcycles come with service alert maintenance as standard fitment and also feature USB charging port and storage area below the rear seat. Although they have huge 18-litre fuel tanks, they only weigh 172 kg. They also have an ergonomic design with low seat height and 200mm of ground clearance.
Speaking on the occasion of the bike unveil, Rajeev Mishra, CEO, UM Lohia Two Wheelers Pvt. Ltd, said, “We are happy to announce that following the implementation of BS-IV pollution norms in India, both Renegade Commando EFI and Renegade Sports S EFI fully comply with the stringent pollution norms. Our bikes will now come equipped with fuel injection engines that shall produce extra power for an increased riding pleasure.”
The BS-IV Renegade Commando EFI and Renegade Sport S EFI are priced at Rs 1,73,917 and Rs 1,66,280 respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi). The BS-III Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S were sold at Rs 1,64,000 and Rs 1,57,000 respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi). UM International has partnered with Indian electric vehicle manufacturer, Lohia Auto to sell their motorcycles in India. The joint venture, called UM Lohia Two Wheelers Pvt. Ltd. (UML) looks after the after-sales services. The company also provides 24x7 Roadside Assistance Programme (RSA) which is offered free of cost with all UM motorcycles in India, effective from the time you get your bike delivered. Both the bikes are manufactured locally at Lohia Auto’s Kashipur facility in Uttarakhand.
