Ford Figo launched in Europe with plenty of add-ons as the 2017 Ford KA+

Ford launched the 2017 Ford KA+ in the European market, which is the same as the Ford Figo manufactured and sold in India. The European KA+ is assembled in the Sanand, Gujarat, manufacturing facility, in India, and gets exported to Europe. Ford has added plenty of add-ons to suit the more aggressively consuming European market, at a budget price point of £8995 (Rs. 8.85 lakh).
A few of the standard add-ons go into the base variant and a few more into the top-end variant, along with the standard ones. The European 2017 Ford KA+ is a 5-door hatchback, unlike its Indian counterpart. Offered in two variants, Style and Ztec, the Ford KA+ has a 1.2liter Duratec Ti-VCT petrol engine available in two states of tune, 69 BHP and 85 BHP, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
On the other hand, the Indian Figo uses 1.2Liter 86 bhp output engine and also the 1.5liter 98 bhp output engine. The mileage of the Ford KA+ is around 20 km/l, against the 15-20 km/l offered by the petrol variant of the Indian Figo.
With a reengineered subframe and with the vehicle riding lower than the Figo; revised steering, improved suspension, ORVMs, remote central locking, front power windows, etc. are some of the add-ons intended to offer comfort, while the safety features include six airbags, rear torsion beam axle, anti-roll bar, speed limiter, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), HAC (Hill-Start Assist Control), etc., as standard add-ons available in both the variants.
The higher powered 85 BHP variant gets even fancier features as rear power windows, 15-inch alloy wheels, auto climate control, heated seats, leather steering, cruise control, rear parking sensors, etc. in addition to the standard features.
Despite the multiple add-ons the hatchback comes with, the 2017 Ford KA+ is a budget vehicle that goes below the Ford Fiesta hatchback. The Ford KA+ has just been launched in Europe and bookings have begun, while delivery of the vehicles will begin by late this year.
