Kinetic to sell 6 units of MV Agusta in a year

The MV Agusta F3 800 RC is about Rs 4 lakh costlier than the standard MV Agusta F3 800.

Pune: Motoroyale by Kinetic, the multi-brand distributor of superbikes in India, on Wednesday launched the iconic model MV Agusta F3 800 RC in the country with a price tag of Rs 21.99 lakh at pan India showroom.

The Pune-based firm said only six units of the superbike would be available for sale in the country. Each buyer would receive a 'Racing Kit' free of cost.

The MV Agusta F3 800 RC is about Rs 4 lakh costlier than the standard MV Agusta F3 800.

In terms of pricing, the MV Agusta F3 800 RC is positioned alongside the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR and the Ducati 959 Panigale.

"The F3 RC is the racing track version of the F3," Ajinkya Firodia, Managing Director at Motoroyale Kinetic, said.

MV Agusta boasts of a rich legacy as a racing champion and has a celebrated history of innovation, mileage, style and speed, he boasted.

"The Italian bikemaker offers riders niche products with top-tier features as in the F3 RC. The values of MV Agusta fit right in with the DNA of the Motoroyale Kinetic brand," Firodia said.

The race track centric MV Agusta F3 800 RC gets some cosmetic updates as compared to its outgoing model while engine specifications remain unaltered.

These feature updates include halogen headlamps and LED tail lamps along with a digital instrument console and electronically assisted gear shift.

Electronics also include ride by wire, four rider modes, 8 level traction control and Bosch ABS with Race Mode and Rear wheel Lift Up Mitigation.

MV Agusta F3 800 RC sits on 17" alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres measuring 120/70 section at the front and 180/55 at the rear.

The MV Agusta F3 800 RC is powered by a 798cc liquid cooled, 4 stroke, DOHC engine capable of 148PS power and 88Nm peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6 speed gearbox and promises a top speed of 240kmph.

The fully faired bike gets disc brakes at the front and rear with dual channel ABS and an 8 level traction control. It is based on an ALS steel tubular chassis with Progressive single shock absorber at the rear and Marzocchi upside down telescopic fork on the front.
