Pune: Maruti Suzuki, India’s biggest carmaker, has updated its midsize Ciaz sedan with more safety features as standard and additional paint shade options with a starting price of ₹11.15 lakh at all India showrooms.
The Ciaz comes equipped with an electronic stability program (ESP) and hill hold assist as standard. The car also gets dual airbags, rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat anchorage.
These updates are an attempt from Maruti Suzuki to keep the almost nine-year-old Ciaz fresh in light of newer competition in the midsize sedan segment.
The 2023 Maruti Ciaz is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine with mild-hybrid tech. It develops 103 BHP and 138 Nm and is mated with 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions.
The Ciaz is available with a choice of seven exterior colours.
These include three new dual-tone shades of Pearl Metallic Opulent Red with Black Roof, Pearl Metallic Grandeur Grey with Black roof and Dignity Brown with Black Roof.
The dual-tone colour options are available on the top-spec Alpha variants priced at ₹11.15 lakh (MT) and ₹12.35 (AT).
