Royal Enfield launches updated Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650
Apart from major tweaks to the wheels and tyres, both the models now also feature four new colourways
PUNE: Motorcycle major Royal Enfield on Thursday introduced the updated Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 motorcycles with a host of new features priced at Rs 3.03 lakh, and Rs 3.19 lakh at Chennai showroom respectively.
Both the updated bikes were introduced in the international market last month.
Apart from major tweaks to the wheels and tyres, both the models now also feature four new colourways.
Interceptor 650 will now be available in two new blacked-out variants - Black Ray & Barcelona Blue - and a new custom dual colorway- Black Pearl, and Cali Green in the solid colourway series. The newly introduced options will join the existing colour options - Mark 2, Sunset Strip and Canyon Red.
Continental GT 650 gets two new blacked out versions: Slipstream Blue and Apex Grey. The new options will be available for purchase with the existing colourways- Mr Clean, Dux Deluxe, British Racing Green and Rocker Red.
All new colourways will come with functional and ergonomic features like enhanced seat comfort, new switchgear, a USB charging port and an all-new LED headlamp.
The newly introduced 650 Twins now come with Vredestien Centura ST tubeless tyres, however, the bikes can also to be opted with tubed iterations that continue to offer Ceat Zoom Cruz rubber.
The bikes continue to feature the same engine and gearbox options: the 648cc, air/oil-cooled, parallel-twin SOHC engine generates 47PS and 52.3Nm of torque. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
