Hyundai will hike prices across all segments in India
The proposed price increase will be up to Rs. 1,00,000 and will be effective from January 2017 across all models from Eon to Santa Fe.
Automobile manufacturers have been increasing the prices of their vehicles and Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has joined the bandwagon. Effective from January 2017, the carmaker is going to hike the prices of its cars across segments by up to Rs 1,00,000. According to Hyundai, increasing input costs is responsible for the hike.
According to Mr Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. vice president, sales and marketing, Hyundai Motors, “In these challenging year end market conditions, we are constrained to consider price increase on account of factors like increased input costs, fluctuating exchange rates and increasing marketing expenses. The proposed price increase will be up to Rs. 1,00,000 and will be effective from January 2017 across all models from Eon to Santa Fe.”
The year 2016 has been splendid for Hyundai. The Creta turned out to be a blockbuster and Hyundai introduced two premium cars, the Elantra and Tuscon, this year as well. For customers who are deciding to buy a Hyundai car, this is the best time as the December Delight Offer is going on until December 25, 2016. However, the offer is not applicable on the i20 Active, Creta, Elantra and Tucson. Apart from these cars, customers can avail a discount of Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh on other cars.
