Hero to offer disc brake for Splendor iSmart 110
The disc brake version of the bike will be launched around the festive season of this year.
Hero which plans dozen launches to counter Honda will add a new disc brake variant of its newly launched splendor iSmart soon. Hero ambitious plan to take on Honda includes new models and variants over the next nine months.
The new splendor iSmart 110 is the first indigenously developed motorcycle from Hero after the split from Honda since 2010. It has been developed at the company's new R&D facility (Hero Centre of Innovation and Technology) at Jaipur. The Splendor iSmart 110 is based on a new chassis, TOD engine and host of new technologies.
The all-new Splendor iSmart 110 of Hero MotoCorp is likely to get a disc brake in near future. The disc brake version of the bike will be launched around the festive season of this year.
Splendor iSmart 110 was launched on July 14, 2016 at Rs53,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Hero offers the bike only with drum brakes at both the ends initially. So, with the aim of increasing the bike’s demand, the company now plans to equip the bike with disc brakes at the front end.
Expect the disc brake equipped Splendor iSmart 110 to be priced around Rs2,500 to Rs 3,500 higher the drum brakes version.
