Kia Motors has inaugurated its first showroom in India a few months ahead of the launch of the SP2i compact SUV. Located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, the new showroom will cater to both sales and after-sale services. The facility that spans over 12,000 sq.ft. has been designed as per Kia’s global ‘Red Cube’ design language for showrooms.
Although Kia has no cars on sale in India as of now, the Rio hatchback and the Stinger GT sedan are currently on display in the showroom. The Rio is a premium hatchback that could rival the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20 if launched in India. The Stinger GT, on the other hand, is a sports sedan rivals the likes of the BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the Volvo S90 in international markets. If launched here, expect Kia to offer it via the CBU route and promote it as the company’s flagship car.
