In honour of PV Sindhu, the first Indian women Olympian who bagged a silver medal in Rio’s 2016, Uber has turned their cars into shuttlecocks on their app.

Uber spokesperson said: “Celebrating PV Sindhu's silver medal and stellar performance at the Rio games, we have changed cars on the Uber app to shuttles for today.

“Sindhu has not only brought glory to India but has also fired up the imagination of millions across the country and we want to celebrate the moment with this little tribute,” Uber added.

On August 19, the 21-year-old Sindhu, from Hyderabad, won a silver medal in badminton at the Rio Olympics 2016, in her match against Spain's Carolina Marin.
