Pune: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), the second biggest two-wheeler maker in the country, on Thursday introduced the new entry-lever adventure bike called the Honda CB200X priced at `1.44 lakh at Delhi showroom. It is powered by the same 184.4 cc, single-cylinder engine seen in the Hornet 2.0, making a slightly lower 16.5 hp and 15.5 Nm of torque.

However, Honda says it has tuned the engine for better mid-range punch, something that will always come in handy on an adventure-tourer.

“Built to excite riders, CB200X offers a perfect riding companion for their daily city rides and short weekend getawa-ys beyond the citysc-apes,” Atsushi Ogata, MD & CEO at Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said.

For catering to markets in small towns and villages, he said the company would add around 1,000 customer touchpoints over the next three years, taking the total to 7,000.
