  • The XUV300 is amongst the least fuel efficient petrol SUV with a manual transmission in its segment as far as manufacturer claimed figures are concerned. In fact, it sits on par with the Tata Nexon.

  • The Vitara Brezza is not available with a petrol engine.

  • XUV300’s petrol engine is the torquiest unit its class.

  • The XUV300’s petrol variant can only be had with a 6-speed manual transmission.

  • The Ford EcoSport 1.0-litre MT is the most fuel efficient car in its class with a claimed mileage of 18.1kmpl

Some facts

  • The XUV300’s diesel engine is the same 1.5-litre unit that powers the Marazzo MPV. It is the least fuel efficient SUV in its class as per manufacturer claimed figures.

  • It is slightly detuned to produce less power than the Marazzo. However, it is the most powerful diesel engine in its class. It is also the torquiest engine in the segment.

  • The XUV300’s diesel variant can only be had with a 6-speed manual transmission.

  • Honda WR-V is the most fuel efficient car in this range with a claimed mileage of 25.5kmpl.
