Hyundai Venue launching today
The Hyundai Venue is expected to be priced from Rs 7.2 lakh to Rs 12 lakh

The Hyundai Venue is set to be launched later today. It will be available in five variants - E, S, SX, SX(O) and SX+. The Venue will be offered with a brand new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine as well as the petrol and diesel options that power the Elite i20. While all five variants can be had with a petrol engine, only the top four will be available with a diesel unit.
Sticking to the topic of engines, the new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol produces 120PS of power and 172Nm of torque. This engine will be offered with a choice of two transmissions - a 5-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. It must be noted that this engine will only be offered with the SX, SX(O) and SX+ variants. The more affordable E and S variants of the Venue will only be available with the 1.2-litre petrol engine. This motor is good for 83PS of power and 115Nm of torque and will be equipped with a 5-speed manual. The 1.4-litre diesel engine churns out 90PS and 220Nm and will be offered with a 6-speed manual.
As far as features are concerned, Hyundai has not revealed what each variant of the Venue will pack. However, the carmaker has confirmed what will be offered in the top-spec SX+ variant. The equipment list is as follows:
Exterior: Projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels and projector fog lamps.
Comfort and Convenience: Sunroof, cruise control, auto AC with rear AC vents, wireless mobile charging, rear parking sensors with camera, tilt adjustable steering and air purifier.
Safety: 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, ESP and hill start assist.
Infotainment: An 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Venue will also get Hyundai Blue Link telematics and internet-based (eSIM) connectivity features.
The Hyundai Venue is expected to be priced from Rs 7.2 lakh to Rs 12 lakh. When launched, it will take on other sub-4m SUVs in the country, including the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra XUV300.
