Honda teases 2017 Honda CBR1000RR (Fireblade)
The press conference of the international motorcycle fair Intermot is scheduled on the same day in Cologne, Germany.
Honda Motorcycles has released a teaser video, which might be featuring the 2017 Honda CBR1000RR (Fireblade). There have been a lot of rumours and spy shots of the motorbike over the last couple of weeks. The video, named as "Total Control", shows a date in the end, October 4, 2016. The press conference of the international motorcycle fair Intermot is scheduled on the same day in Cologne, Germany. Honda might showcase the next-gen Fireblade at the upcoming event.
The teaser video also says that the 2017 Honda Fireblade will be sharper than ever and the title also suggests that the company has reworked on the geometry. We can expect better handling abilities from the upcoming model of the bike, which was already known for its excellent road characteristics. Though the video, shot at the United States' Thunderhill Raceway Park, just reveals the rear tyre of the bike, the spy pictures of the 2017 CBR1000RR have already told us that it is getting a complete style revamp. The new model looks edgier, sharper and more aerodynamic as compared to the existing version. The new front fairing and the headlights appear inspired by the recently introduced lightweight supersport concept, the Honda CBR250RR, and the rear section is also looking sleeker.
It's obvious that Honda will work on the litre-class inline-four engine of the CBR1000RR to make it Euro-4 compliant. However, we are also expecting a power boost to match up with the performance of its updated rivals. We believe that the updated model of the iconic Fireblade will also get an advanced electronic package to meet the new standards of safety set by other litre-class supersport machines like the 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1 and the 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.
For more details on the 2017 Honda CBR1000RR, let's wait for the next teaser video, but the complete details will be out at the upcoming INTERMOT show which is just less than two weeks away.
