Volkswagen Polo: ABS now standard across the range

The hatchback now gets anti-lock braking system (ABS) as standard across all variants.

Update: 2016-11-26 08:41 GMT
Volkswagen and Toyota are now the only two mass-market manufacturers to give ABS and airbags as standard features on all their products.

Volkswagen India has made yet another component a piece of standard equipment in the Polo. The hatchback now gets anti-lock braking system (ABS) as standard across all variants.

Beforehand ABS was accessible just on the Comfortline and Highline trim levels. Be that as it may, after the most recent overhaul, even the base Trendline trim comes with the safety feature.

The German automaker had already made dual airbags standard across the range in 2014. After adding ABS, Volkswagen and Toyota are now the only two mass-market manufacturers to give ABS and airbags as standard features on all their products.

The Government of India is discussing to make both these features standard and compulsory on all new cars in the next two years.
