British luxury automaker Jaguar Land Rover has introduced the made-in-India second-generation XF at Rs 47.50 lakh. The all-new XF was introduced in September last year at Rs 49.5 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, New Delhi). The local manufacturing has brought the price down by almost Rs 2 lakh.

The automaker has begun accepting bookings for the locally manufactured XF from today and you can book the sedan from Jaguar Land Rover’s 24 authorised retail outlets or through its online portals, which were introduced just after the launch of the all-new XF last year.

Mechanically, the Jaguar XF comes with a choice of a petrol and a diesel engine. The 2.0-litre all-aluminium diesel from Jaguar's new 'Ingenium' series of engines produces 180PS of power and 430Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol, on the other hand, puts out 240PS of power and 340Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic. The XF competes with sedans such as the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E Class and the Volvo S90.
