Porsche to tap into luxury segment growth with dealerships and new launches
In order to tap this rising demand for luxury cars, Porsche plans to open new dealership networks and launch new cars in the Indian market.
Porsche India eyes the prospects in the Indian market towards luxury cars, as the country as a whole seems to take a shift towards luxury cars owing to the rising number of millionaires in India. In order to tap this rising demand for luxury cars, Porsche plans to open new dealership networks as well as launch new cars in the Indian market.
The German luxury carmaker recently launched the Porsche 911, while also beginning to accept bookings for the Porsche 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster. So, two more models are expected to be launched soon in India in the current year.
On the dealership front, Porsche will expand its network to make itself available to a large number of people, throughout the nation. Chennai and Hyderabad will get a dealership soon, while they will also get enhanced service facilities. However, the Porsche would be prudent and cautious in choosing their dealers, as they have a “no dealers than wrong dealers for Porsche” policy. So, in all strictness, only two more dealerships may be expected and that too by only next year.
The sale of luxury vehicles have been increasing and Porsche is likely to cash in on this trend with the expansion both in terms of dealerships and their product portfolio. The total number of dealerships may be expected to rise to eight throughout India, while the Porsche already has eight service centers in metros and cities as Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Kochi, Ahmedabad and Gurgaon.
