The India-spec MG ZS EV is scheduled to make its reveal in December 2019, while the launch has been postponed to 2020. It is already on sale in countries like China and the UK. Now, a new clip confirms that the India-spec model will feature a built-in air purifier.
The climate control of the electric SUV features a built-in PM 2.5 air filter and its effectiveness is showcased in the source video. In the UK market, the air filter is only offered on the top-spec Exclusive variant of the MG ZS EV. Currently, the Hyundai Venue and Kia Seltos are some of the other SUVs on sale in India priced under Rs 30 lakh with air purifiers.
Hyundai also offers the first-ever long-range EV in India, the Kona Electric, which will be a direct rival to the upcoming ZS EV. The ZS electric SUV is expected to be offered in a single top-spec variant when launched in India. It will likely be priced under the Rs 25 lakh mark.
