Pune: Germany-headquartered EUR 2.408 billion ebm-papst, manufacturer of fans and motors, will invest Rs 340 crore in its third new factory in Chennai as it expands its production capabilities to cater to growing demand.

As part of the planned production expansion, ebm-papst has acquired a 14.2 acre of land in Chennai. The first phase of the upcoming construction project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026 to cater to the Asia-Pacific, and Middle East and Africa (APAC & MEA) regions.
The company said the new plant will employ around 700 people after it goes onstream.
“Rs 340 crore investment reflects our long-term vision for India,” said Atul Tripathi, managing director of ebm-papst India.
