Pune: Honda, the Japanese car giant, on Wednesday introduced the all-new third generation Honda Amaze compact sedan with a starting price of Rs 8.00 lakh, and going up to Rs 10.90 lakh for the top variant at pan India showroom.

The new Amaze gets an all-new design that adopts the family look seen on the Elevate and City, and gets new interiors with lots more features.
While test drives for the new Amaze begin on Wednesday, deliveries will start next month. Honda is providing a 3-year/unlimited km warranty as standard with the Amaze.
The new Amaze competes with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor and Hyundai Aura in the compact sedan segment.
“We are thrilled to present the all-new Amaze – a sedan that is set to outclass in all parameters of Styling, Safety, Connectivity, Drive and Comfort,” said Takuya Tsumura, President & CEO, at Honda Cars India.
He said the brand has introduced the ADAS technology in all its models in India and Honda Amaze is the most affordable ADAS enabled car in the country.
The new-gen Amaze looks like a mini-City. It is wider and taller than its predecessor, with a wheelbase of 2,470 mm and ground clearance of 172 mm. The car comes with a 416-litre boot.
The new Amaze features a large hexagonal grille flanked by a set of new twin-pod LED headlamps on either side and a chrome strip on top. The front bumper has also been redesigned and houses a pair of LED fog lamps and a trapezoidal air dam.
The Amaze has a two-tone interior with a dashboard that has a clean and simple design. It has got a new 3-spoke steering wheel with a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system in the centre and a compact air-con module with rear AC vents.
Other features include wireless charging, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The car also has over 37 connected features as part of Honda Connect, which comes with a 5-year free subscription.
The new Amaze is powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 89 BHP and 110 Nm. It is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 7-step CVT with paddle shifters.
Honda claims a fuel efficiency of 18.65 km/l (MT) and 19.46 km/h (CVT).
The third-gen Amaze comes with a slew of advanced safety features. These include 6 airbags, Lane watch camera, hill start assist, ESC and ADAS.
