Vodafone Idea (Vi) has been making waves in the telecom industry, and its recent recognition for Superior Network reflects its commitment to providing top-notch services.

In an exclusive conversation with Deccan Chronicle, Anand Dani, Cluster Business Head- AP, Telangana & Karnataka, talks about Vi's vision to continue the momentum.

“We have identified geographies where we haven't covered well till now. We are adding towers in those regions. We have a clear plan of rollout from now till March. So, we will cover a lot of villages that are uncovered for now,” Anand Dani explained, talking about Vi’s focus on expanding its network coverage.

When asked about tackling network coverage issues in rural areas, Dani said, “We cover 96% of the population. It’s a very small percentage, which we will continue to enhance our network. And as and when capacity gets consumed in that market, we can add more towers.”

Vi’s aggressive plans, such as the Hero Recharge, have been well-received by customers. “We thought evening was the best time. For youth, again, their evenings are late. So, that’s where we thought we would introduce a pack that will offer them all the benefits,” Dani said, highlighting the thought process behind the Hero Recharge.

Vi’s Hero Recharge offers free night data, data rollover, and extra data for live matches. Additionally, ViGuarantee provides 10 GB extra data for recharges of 299 and beyond.

Elaborating on unique plans, Dani says, “Our postpaid Family Plans offer convenience and data sharing. The REDX plan offers benefits worth Rs. 1600 for Rs. 1200, including free OTT, antivirus, lounge access, and restaurant discounts.”

What sets Vi apart from the competition, he says, is providing more value for consumers’ money. The company spokesperson says that they have noticed a clear reverse migration of subscribers. Citing the reasons behind customers returning to Vi, Dani explains, “The reason is purely because of the data 4G data experience with Vi. And that’s why they are choosing to come back.”

In terms of subscriber base, Dani revealed that prepaid subscribers outnumber postpaid subscribers. “Obviously prepaid, because that’s the mass product. Even in Hyderabad city, you will find more prepaid consumers. Postpaid consumers are limited in places because we also don’t do postpaid in some of the geographies,” he said.

Vi’s expansion plans are in full swing, with 11 new outlets set to open in Hyderabad alone. The company's commitment to providing superior network quality has paid off, with Vi recently being recognized for its 4G Download Speed, 4G Video Experience, 4G Live Video Experience, and 4G Voice App Experience in AP and Telangana.

With its aggressive plans, expanding network coverage, and commitment to quality, Vi is set to enhance the network experience for subscribers.
