HYDERABAD: Wolters Kluwer, global provider of professional information across sectors such as software, healthcare, and law, among others, is currently on an expansion mode in India and Asia Pacific region.

As part of their business expansion process, Vice President of Clinical Effectiveness for Wolters Kluwer in the Asia Pacific region, Norman Deery, interacted with media here on Saturday.

Speaking in length about digital uptake in healthcare in India and the APAC region and on India’s contribution to Wolters Kluwer’s growth, Deery said that the company currently has about 250 clients in India as compared to 75 customers pre-Covid.

“We have observed a lot of growth in the Indian market post Covid. Our growth numbers in the last year or so in India are as high 27-30% and about 17% in the APAC region, which shows how rapidly we are growing here,” he said.

Talking about the team behind the solutions being offered in the healthcare sector, Mr. Deery said that about 90 practising clinicians from Boston, United States of America, contribute as editors for Wolters Kluwer.

On the expansion front, the solutions provider has come up with a product ‘UpToDate’ which provides evidence-based clinical decision support to both medical students, to help them in their academics, and to medical professionals to assist them in their practices.
