CII EXCON to boost construction gear business

Over 1,200 companies to participate at the Bengaluru event

Hyderabad: Bengaluru will host a five-day construction equipment exhibition Excon 2023, billed as South Asia's largest construction equipment exhibition, which is expected to be attended by 80,000 business visitors from around the world.

The event will spread over 30 lakh sq. ft of display area at Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre and is expected to attract 1,200 exhibitors from India and abroad including countries like the USA, UK, France, Germany, Italy, UAE, South Korea, Singapore, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Romania & Czech Republic.

Speaking about the event, Sakthi Kumar VG, member, EXCON 2023 Steering Committee &  Managing Director, Schwing Stetter (India), said, "Excon 2023 is not merely an event; it's a driving force propelling India towards relentless progress. It aspires to embody our robust infrastructure development, reaffirming India's leading position as a global destination for construction equipment manufacturing”.

"India's economic journey is inextricably linked to the infrastructure sector's vitality, an area receiving substantial government attention. In a resounding testament to this commitment, the government has allocated an impressive sum of Rs.10 lakh crores, equivalent to US$ 130.57 billion, to fortify this domain. "Our government's investment underscores India's resolute commitment to advancing infrastructure growth, fostering an environment conducive to economic advancement and global competitiveness," added Sakthi Kumar.
