Dalmia Bharat Boosts Kadapa Cement Production by 1 MTPA

Hyderabad: Cement company Dalmia Bharat Limited (DBL) announced the commencement of commercial production of an additional one million tonne per annum (MTPA) at its existing cement manufacturing unit in Kadapa. The integrated cement manufacturing unit had an existing capacity of 2.6 MTPA. This expansion brings the company's total installed capacity to 46.6 MTPA, inclusive of its subsidiaries.

The expansion, taken up with Rs 207 crore, aims to meet the growing cement demand in the Southern region.

"With the expected focus on overall infrastructure capital outlay and its deployment, we see growth opportunities especially in the Southern states,” said Puneet Dalmia, managing director and chief executive officer, DBL, in a release.
