Growth to continue: President

Hyderabad: President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday said that the country was emerging in economic aspect and the GDP, which rose in the last 15 years and affected some times due to the external factors, would grow up with the initiations like Digital India, Clean India, Make in India etc.

Speaking at the centenary celebrations of the Federation of Telangana and AP Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI), the president emphasized for the utilization of manpower below 25 year age group in the country.

“50 per cent of population in the country is working in various sectors of which majority of manpower are from the age group between 19 and 59. We have huge potentiality of manpower below 25 years age group and we should utilize the potentiality for the growth of GDP,” he said.

He said that reaching 100 years in the life of an organisation was very important landmark and it should not only a national landmark, but also a story which people have scripted over period of 100 years by their contributions. “FTAPCCI made a small beginning in 1917 which has is a long march,” he said.
