Cyient plans to double profits; bets on startups

Hyderabad: Cyient Ltd is investing in startups focused on niche areas like medical technology, drones, among others as it draws future roadmap. “Currently, we have invested money in some startups. They are not part of Cyient now. But later they may become a part of the company,” said MD Krishna Bodanapu during an event to mark the company’s 25th anniversary.
The aerospace major, whose growth plans include acquisitions, expects to double or triple its earnings by the year 2020.
