Allana Group to invest Rs 200 crore in pet food facility in Telangana

Allana Pet Solutions will introduce a line of protein-rich dried dog food premium products to the domestic market

Hyderabad: Allana Group, an exporter of processed food products and agro commodities,  announced a Rs 200 crore investment to establish a pet food facility near Zaheerabad in Telangana. It will have a capacity of 10 MT/hour, and the facility will be operational in a couple of weeks, the company said in a release.  

As part of its expansion plan, Allana Pet Solutions will introduce a line of protein-rich dried dog food premium products to the domestic market under the brand ‘Bowlers’. It is also diversifying into the cat food segment. , further broadening the company's product range.  It aims to meet the rising demand for pet food products both within India and globally.

“Our substantial investment in the pet food facility serves as a testament to our belief in India's rise in the pet nutrition segment,” said Raghavendra Rao, chief executive officer of Allana Pet Food Solutions. The facility is expected to generate many employment opportunities and foster the growth of allied industries within the region, he said.

The group also deals with frozen meat, processed fruit and vegetable products, coffee, spices and cereals. In the domestic market, it manufactures and distributes edible oils, margarines and specialty fats, bread improvers and bakery ingredients. It also distributes London Dairy Ice-cream and Allegro olive oil, a release said.
