Chennai: India International Leather Fair will be big this year
As part of the fair, the leather industry is also having its 'Leather Fashion Show' on Thursday evening at the ITC Grand Chola.
Chennai: The 34th edition of India International Leather Fair (IILF) being held here for four days from Thursday (Jan 31) will showcase the latest fashion and global trends while featuring about 450 exhibitors from 20 overseas players, apart from the top Indian companies, industry sources said.
The show at the sprawling Chennai Trade Centre in Nandambakkam will have on display the entire range of products relating to the leather industry from raw material to finished products, including leather garments and leather fashion accessories.
As part of the fair, the leather industry is also having its 'Leather Fashion Show' on Thursday evening at the ITC Grand Chola, with 36 female and 12 male super models walking the ramp.
These carefully chosen models include several international beauty contest winners. The show is being sponsored by industry leaders and for the very first time, lifestyle brands like Rolls Royce, Harley Davidson and Titanium Motors / Mercedes Benz.
"The Fashion Show, one of its kind, is open to the public. The latest expressions of trends, styles, designs and colours in world leather fashion are showcased at this show", said Muhammad Yavar Dhala, MD, Forward Shoes, who is the convenor of the Fashion Show.
