Maruti hands over 129 cars for Telangana Welfare scheme

Apart from supply of vehicles, Maruti is also providing road safety and driving training.

Hyderabad: The government of Telangana along with Maruti Suzuki on Wednesday flagged off 129 Maruti Suzuki Tour S vehicles to use as taxi.

The Minister of Tribal Welfare, Tourism & Culture for Telangana, Azmeera Chandulal,  who flagged of the cars was present for the workshop on “Driver Empowerment Programme” under “Own your Car” scheme of the Telangana governemt.

Ashish Jain and Anindya Dutta, of Maruti Suzuki India were also present for the flag-off ceremony. Uber & SBI are also associated in the project. Apart from supply of vehicles, Maruti is also providing road safety and driving training.
