Ultra luxury homes valued over Rs 4700 crore sold in 2024

Chennai:  In 2024, top seven cities saw sales of 59 ultra luxury homes priced over Rs 40 crore, cumulatively priced Rs 4,754 crore. Of this, 17 were priced over Rs 100 crore.

Of the total of 59 ultra-luxurious homes sold in 2024, 53 were apartments and 6 were bungalows, according to Anarock Group.

The collective sales value of Rs 4,754 crore saw a 17 per cent yearly surge in 2024 against 58 ultra-luxury homes sold for Rs 4,063 crore in 2023.

According to Anarock, the Covid-19 pandemic generated a substantial demand surge for luxury and ultra-luxury housing, which shows no signs of slowing down. In the past three years, 130 homes of over Rs 40 crore were sold. The collective value of the 130 ultra-luxury residential deals were around Rs 9,987 crore. Of this, 116 homes were sold in Mumbai alone.
