New Delhi: Gold rose by Rs 45 to Rs 29,620 per 10 grams in futures trade on Wednesday as speculators enlarged their positions after firm global trends.
Gold for delivery in February next year rose by Rs 45, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 29,620 per 10 grams, in a business turnover of 23 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in December was also trading higher by Rs 19, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 29,456 per 10 grams in 729 lots.
Analysts said speculators' widening their bets, tracking a firming global trend, mainly supported the upside in gold prices at futures trade here.
Globally, gold inched up 0.30 per cent to USD 1,278.60 an ounce in Singapore on Wednesday.
