Hexaware Technologies files for Rs 9,950 crore IPO, backed by Carlyle Group, marking its second market listing

Mumbai: Mumbai based Hexaware Technologies filed draft red herring prospectus with Sebi for Rs 9,950 crore initial public offering. The public issue of Carlyle( US private equity firm) backed Hexaware technologies US private Equity firm is completely an offer for sale by the promoter selling shareholders CA Magnum Holdings which is part of Carlyle Group.

This will be second listing of Hexaware Technologies as it was listed earlier on NSE and BSE from 1997 to 2020.Hexaware Technologies had delisted itself from stock exchanges NSE and BSE in 2020.

Hexaware Technology is a global digital and technology services company that leverages technology to deliver innovative solutions to help customers in their digital transformation journey and subsequent operations. The company manages business through six operating segments based on the industries we serve: Financial Services, Healthcare and Insurance, Manufacturing and Consumer, Hi-Tech and Professional Services, Banking, and Travel and Transportation.

Hexaware serves customers across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific (including India and Middle East) and has a global delivery presence comprising 38 delivery centers supported by 16 offices. As of June 30, 2024, it had a team of 31,870 employees in 28 countries

As of CY2023, financial year ending December 31, 2023, its revenue from operations was Rs. 10,380 crore with a profit after tax of Rs 997 crore, and for six months ended June 30, 2024, revenue from operations was Rs. 5,684 crore with a PAT of Rs.553 crore.

The company was listed on Stock exchanges in 1997 as Aptech Limited and in 2002 the name of the company was changed to Hexaware Technologies. in 2013 Baring Private Equity Asia acquired 70.87 per cent share capital of Hexaware via an open offer under the Sebi Takeover Regulations and became the promoters of Hexaware Technologies. In 2021 Carlyle acquired 95.51 per cent stake in Hexaware technologies from Baring Private Equity.
