Marut Drones, IFFCO partner for Drone Spraying Over 5 Lakh Acre Farm Land

Hyderabad: The Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (Iffco) has entered a partnership with Hyderabad-based Marut Dronetech to undertake drone-as-a-service (DAAS) operations across five lakh acre. This collaboration marks at creating rural entrepreneurs, enhancing agricultural productivity and bringing drone technology to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.


Under the terms of the agreement, Marut Dronetech will be employing its state-of-the-art drone technology to administer a range of agricultural inputs developed by IFFCO Agri-products. This initiative aims to optimize crop yields while minimising environmental impact, ultimately contributing to sustainable agricultural practices.

"This collaboration allows farmers and service providers to minimise direct contact with pesticide. The use of drones also addresses labour shortages and enhances operational efficiency and farm yield,” said Prem Kumar, co-founder and chief executive officer of Marut Drones, according to a release.
