Hyderabad: A 29-year-old man died after he was hit by an unknown vehicle near RGI Airport entrance. The mishap occurred when the deceased K. Narasimha was walking towards the airport.

GMR security officials who found the body lying beside the road, informed the police.

Police said that K. Narasimha belonged to Nandigama village in the Kothur mandal of Mahbubnagar district and was working as a daily wager.

He had left home on Thursday. When he did not return after two days his family filed a missing complaint with the Kothur police on Saturday.

On Sunday, at around 4.30 am, he was hit by the vehicle when he was walking towards the airport. The absence of CCTV cameras at the spot is making it difficult for the police to trace the vehicle.

"There are no CCTV cameras at the spot. We did not find any suspicious vehicles in the other cameras," he added.

Based on a complaint from GMR security staff an accidental death was registered and the body was handed over to the family after postmortem.
